MECTA Electronic Medical Record

The MECTA EMR© is database software specifically designed for use in ECT. This software markedly extends the capabilities of MECTA ECT devices. MECTA EMR software can communicate with the MECTA spECTrum device, and can be used with a single, stand-alone computer or networked to connect multiple workstations or MECTA devices. MECTA EMR displays and electronically saves the physiological monitoring data acquired during ECT (up to 7 traces) without the need to print or store chart paper records. Stimulus parameters and other key data are automatically saved in the EMR database without any user intervention. The information in the database is organized for each patient in terms of treatment course, treatment session, and electrical stimulation within the session. The information in the database can be flexibly queried and exported into Excel or text files for further analysis. MECTA EMR allows the LCD on the MECTA spECTrum device to be mirrored on one or more external computer monitors. All electrical parameters, continuous physiological traces, and optional user-defined fields are automatically recorded for every stimulus discharge at every treatment session. This information can be included in a variety of reports that can be incorporated into hospital medical records.

Medical facilities using Epic have the option of purchasing an optional MECTA-Epic user interface, which will import device settings directly into an ECT Epic Template, allowing data to be shared in a consistent format. Patient safety, privacy, cost, and time efficiencies are enhanced with MECTA's newest software program.
