Titration and Pre-Selected Dosing Tables: Original spECTrum Parameters
Stimulus dose titration has been widely shown to be the most accurate method for quantifying seizure threshold and determining subsequent stimulus dosage. Sometimes practitioners prefer to administer a pre-selected dose and avoid titration. The MECTA spECTrum Titration and Pre-Selected Dosing Tables address both approaches. They are also sold separately as a laminated set. Note that the Tables for the original spECTrum and the Optimized spECTrum device are different. The Optimized spECTrum introduced the modern use of ultrabrief stimulation in 2004, and included other stimulus parameter changes, such as increased train duration and shorter maximum pulse width. Therefore, providers should order laminated sets of the Titration and Pre-Selected Dosing Tables appropriate for the version of the spECTrum in use (Original vs. Optimized).
